  1. If you enjoy using SndControl, you may be interested to know that it will soon have a bigger brother called FunSoundsΓäó. This new control panel will be distributed by Now Software as part of their Now Fun! collection of ΓǪwell, fun  software modules.
  2. The other modules in the collection are: 
  3. - FunColorsΓäó - Lets you customize the colors in your Macintosh environment
  4. - FunCursorsΓäó - Lets you substitute and create animated cursors.
  5. - FunPicturesΓäó - Displays images and desktop patterns on your desktop.
  6. - FunScreenSaversΓäó - Protects your screen from burn-in by running screen saver modules (includes 30 new modules and will run After Dark modules).

  8. FunSounds will handle several more events and sport an improved user interface. It will, however, only run under system 7 or greater.

The NowFun! collection should be available at a store near you in the early days of May. Registered users of SndControl are entitled to the same special introductory price Now Software will extend to registered users of its own products, that is, $19 (plus shipping).* Compare this with a list price of $69 and a probable mail order cost of $49 and I think you have one more good reason to hurry up and send me that registration fee today!

And no - in case you are wondering - this does not mean that I've "gone commercial" and will stop distributing shareware programs. It's just that I wanted to gain the experience of working with a well established and reputable company such as Now Software and see how this can contribute towards making my programs more robust and even better supported.
